A First Kiss: Poem & Song

A FIRST KISS

Words of seduction,

a soft, flowing prologue,

whispered phrases in half-lit tones.

A gaze held longer

than friendship allows.

The slow pull of two lips

meeting in silent surrender.

A mystery unraveled in an instant,

fleeting or infinite—who can tell?

Crossing the threshold of fear,

stepping into the depths of you.

Painting the night in new colors,

a passport to the unknown,

to unspoken sounds and lingering scents…

All in a first kiss.
