I LOSE CONTROL: POEM & SONG

Many years ago I wrote my first poem. It is a simple writing, which tells the story of a girl who drew flowers on the surfaces of the tables (O:!); and of a young engineering student, immersed in the stoic depths of science, and who fed his spirit by reading masters of poetry such as Neruda and Machado.

This poem was not written at the time to be known by those who inspired it, but rather it was an attempt, almost shameful, to enter the world of poetry.

Time has passed. I have lost my shame, I don't know if I have gained talent but I can make songs (hehehe).

It is also in my book  "Lost In Your Eyes"available in Jeff Bezzos' "little store", in case you would like to support the author with a few cents.

But better, I leave the original poem and its version adapted into a song.

I LOSE CONTROL

I lose control when you look at me,
my old serenity fades
as your smile invades me.

Your eyes fascinate me,
and I fly with you
beyond the abstract reality of numbers.

Your melancholic follies
merge with my speeches and dreams.

The sound of your voice,
happy and sad at once,
has been engraved in my being.

The flowers your hands create
reflect your beauty—
a reflection of you.
